Bounder-Roos Gillette Pre-Rally Info from President Jim Hall

Work on the Gillette Rally is coming along slowly for me as we do not have anyone in the Gillette WY area that I can contact to assist. Following are some of the preliminary items for your consideration. The pre-rally will be held at Gillette from June 15th thru the 18th with the FMCA Family Showcase starting on June 19th. I am planning on having a pre-rally very similar to the one that we had in Indianapolis last September. During the day you will be on your own to see the sights of the area. In the evening we will have a room available to us to do what we do best, that is to have fun and meet and greet other Bounder owners. If everything goes as I have planned we will also have one night of entertainment.  In respect to our registration for the pre-rally and registration for the FMCA Rally itself, we are to phone in our reservations directly to FMCA.

Rally In A Rally Guidelines for Gillette, Wyoming

1. Early arrival will be permitted for those chapters which volunteer during the 88th Family Reunion;
2. Chapters must arrive together to facilitate being parking together;
3. Upon arrival, chapter members must display their 88th Family Reunion credentials;
4. No early arrivals can be facilitated prior to June 14, 2013; 5. Each chapter member attending the Rally In A Rally must phone in their registration to FMCA;
6. An early arrival fee will not be charged to those chapter members who indicate at the time of their registration that they will volunteer during the Reunion; 7. Chapter members who do not volunteer will be charged an early arrival fee of $25 per coach per night, payable at the time of registration; early arrival fees will be charged for June 14 and/or June 15;
8. Chapter members arriving early should purchase electric service; a small number of non-electric registrations may be accepted, however, they will not be parked with their chapter;
9. Chapter meeting room space will be available on a shared basis starting June 14; Sign up is required and the room must be left clean and garbage removed;
10. No service support can be provided (catering, janitorial, security, trams, etc.) during early arrival days;
11. The number of early arrivals is limited; 12. All Rally In A Rally registrations must be received by the early bird registration deadline, April 29, 2013.

You will note in the instructions above that there is an early arrival fee of $25.00 per coach payable at the time of registration. I have been assured by Maureen Malarkey at FMCA that we will only be charged for the 15th, which is the day that out pre-rally starts, for the $25.00 fee. I made two (2) calls to Maureen in this regard and on both instances I was assured that the early arrival fee would only be $25.00. For those of you who may want to arrive on the 14th, you will be charged an additional $25.00 for that day's early arrival also.
I would suggest that for those of you attending that you sign up for electric service. The registration fee for the FMCA Rally is $165.00, and the additional fee for 30 amp electric is $170.00. I am hoping that we will be assigned to an area with full hookups at Gillette as even though it is the later part of June when we will be there, it will still be hot and humid in Wyoming. There is a real possibility that if you do not sign up for electric that you may be parked away from the rest of the Chapter members.

If you want to see some additional information in regards to the area of Wyoming where we will be, you can go to the Cam-plex web site at www.cam-plex.com . There is a lot of information on their site. During the time that we will be there their will is a rodeo or two going on, and also there will be a Performance Arts Workshop Performance for us to take in.

The Chapter charge for the pre-rally per coach will be $50.00 as it was in the past. This charge is for us to be able to have some of the fun like we had at Indianapolis. I am looking forward to seeing you in Gillette in June. In the meantime I hope that you have safe travels and stay healthy.

Gillette 2013  Family Reunion
and Motorhome Showcase

FMCA's 88th Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase will take place Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, June 19, 20, 21, and 22, 2013, at CAM-PLEX in Gillette, Wyoming.

The 2013 event represents the association's first-ever visit to Gillette for an international event. This Family Reunion will be especially significant, as it will mark the culmination of the association's 50th anniversary celebration. FMCA was founded by a group of "house car" owners who gathered in Hinckley, Maine, in July 1963.

CAM-PLEX is especially well-suited for the 2013 event. The 1,100-acre convention, exhibition, and performing arts center offers state-of-the-art multipurpose facilities as well as six separate RV park venues encompassing 1,730 sites. MAP
